Blood pressure is rising

Steve called her Frankenstein dog. She will get her stitches out Thurs. I don't look forward to taking her for that.

This is the screw that was in my new tire. It is all patched up and ready to roll.

Friday was the Honor Roll Breakfast at Rolling Acres Edison Junior Academy. Jackie made Principal's List for all As.

Saturday we stood in line for 1 1/2 hrs to get autographs from Cody Linley from Hannah Montana and Dancing w/ the Stars. They pushed us through pretty fast, so my pics turned out bad.

It was Girl Scout night at the Rivermen game, so we got special rates on the tickets. Of course, I spent a lot on food to make up for the discount. The game was good and the girls enjoyed it. It was a bummer they lost though.

Not much going on at the house. Bitterly cold and the roofers don't want to get up there. Dan called me Monday w/ a couple questions.

1) Electricity above ground or below ground? Cilco charges extra for underground (of course) and the electrician will have to charge more for above ground because his estimate is for below ground. I'm losing ground here. We are leaning towards above ground because it will be cheaper and the whole neighborhood is already above.

2) Plumber - Do we want to go w/ the higher quote for the upgrades we made on the fixtures? Steve and I need to discuss this. What is most important? We seem to be running into cost over-runs on everything we do. Eventually we will run out of money on our construction loan and then what.

Today I went over to LS in Morton to look at stain samples again to make sure it is what we want on the front door. We are comparing what will be on the front door, interior doors, trim, flooring and cabinets. My mind seems to be whirling from all the variations of oak stain. Above is the garage side door, and below is our front door prepped for stain.

I get home and there was a bill from LS. They charged $300 late fee, because Dan did not get another pay-out in time. He needs to get the roof done for the bank to give him the second installment. The bill is 30 days past due. This is charged to me, because the LS account is in my name to get my dad's discount. I can literally feel my blood pressure rise.

And now at 9 pm at night, we find a leaking pipe It is spraying water up underneath Josie's room. These copper pipes can just spring a tiny leak out of nowhere. Steve's is back from his second trip to Lowe's and I should go see if he needs help. I need to go to bed and pull the covers over my head.

I hope to post some pics of shingles by this weekend. There is no excuse, because it is warming up.
